Milled by a Mennonite father and his two sons here in the United States, this hand crafted box is a one of a kind design not to be found elsewhere. A whimsical bird surrounded by acanthus leaves are further framed by five vertical parallel grooves (flutes) on either side. Pieces are made from the best clear vertical grain cedar which is carefully selected at the lumber yard. The pieces are then milled and assembled utilizing screws rather than a nail gun. These boxes have been carefully designed and constucted to enhance durability. Includes 2 under mount brackets. Height including the under mount brackets is 15". They are then primed with Benjamin Moore oil based primer and high quality Benjamin Moore Aura topcoat We use full one inch stock creating a 6x6 inch open grid work panel. Considering all types of climates the units are assembled with 3/16 stainless steel screws for tough ocean front applications. 2 1/2 inch offset from house exterior.
